BLS New or Renewal
This universal course is designed to meet the Basic Life Support (CPR) certification requirements for both the new and the renewing health care providers. Certification is required for anyone who intends to enter a clinical program of study or work in a medical or patient care setting.

- Medical doctors and physicians
- Emergency medical technicians and paramedics
- Occupational and physical therapists
- Dental technicians
- Hospital/medical assistants and aides
- Radiology and imaging technicians
- Physician assistants
- Registered nurse practitioners
- Fellows and residents
- Medical and nursing students in training
- CPR skills for victims of all ages
- Ventilation with a mouth-to-mask barrier device and bag-mask device
- Use of AED ( automated external defibrillator)
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) for adults, children and infants
- Current AHA guidelines
Class times
- 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm on varying week days
