Must have current ACLS provider card This one-day ACLS renewal class will provide health care providers with previous ACLS education the opportunity to update their skills in accordance with the standards and guidelines for the American Heart Association. The following knowledge and skills will be evaluated followed by a written evaluation:
- ACLS algorithms
- Rhythm recognition
- BLS proficiency
- ACLS pharmacology You should prepare for the course by doing the following:
(2015) AHA Guidelines. Competency testing for one- & two-rescuer adult CPR, mouth-to-mask, bag-mask and AED skills will take place at the beginning of the ACLS Provider Course. Participants are expected to come into the course proficient in these skills. This class will not teach reading or interpretation of ECGs nor basic pharmacology. 5. Evidence of Precourse Self-Assessment completion with a minimum score of 70% is required to participate in the course. A certificate may be printed and presented at the course or screen shots are also accepted. Must have current ACLS provider card This course is designed for health care professionals (physicians, nurses, EMS personnel, etc.) who are renewing their ACLS Provider status. This course is designed with the experienced provider in mind and is recommended for those who are actively involved in cardiac arrest resuscitation codes. Part 1: Complete online portion by obtaining a key from the UW Medicine Community Training Center at Harborview Medical Center. NOTE: PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ASSIGNED A TWO-HOUR TIMESLOT FOR PRACTICE/TESTING.
Provider cards and contact hour certificates will be issued upon successful completion of course.
